I started Baby Affinity in 2015, to offer parents and their babies, high-quality classes to benefit the parent-baby bond, baby’s overall development and for parents to meet new friends in their local area.
As a mother of two, I took both of my children (now 8 and 5 years old) to baby massage courses. Each time I felt the benefits of relaxation together and I was amazed at the positive effects it had on each child. We also met some great friends who became an important part of my support network – and still are! I continue to use massage with my children regularly, even now, to help calm and relax them in times of worry or stress.
I started practising Yoga myself in recent years primarily for building strength, flexibility and as a way of relaxing. Yoga has now become part of my weekly routine and something I really enjoy. I trained to become a Baby Yoga teacher to help promote the benefits of Yoga to parents and babies and as a way of exercising together. Baby Yoga is a natural progression from Baby Massage and something that can bring fantastic benefits to both parent and baby's overall well-being!
The parent-baby connection interests me greatly and all Baby Affinity classes are designed to support and enhance that natural connection through respect, positive touch and a greater understanding of baby's non-verbal communication.
I hold the both the Touch Learn International Infant Massage and Baby Yoga Teaching qualifications, full insurance (IPTI), a valid First Aid certificate and DBS check.
I look forward to welcoming you and your baby to our classes!

What parents have said about our courses...
“Ernie and I so enjoyed the classes - we found the atmosphere which you created friendly and supportive and felt very much at ease. The classes were very well planned and the course had a great structure which meant that even when he didn't complete a full session (due only to his age and him being a bit nosy and wanting to see the other babies!) we could pick up on any bits that we missed the following week. I have been regularly massaging him since and have found that he sleeps better and it is lovely bonding time for us. Thank you!”
“The twins and I throughly enjoyed every massage class with Lesley and didn't want them to end. The classes were fun, informative and relaxed with something for both the babies and parent/carer. Lesley took time to explain and show techniques and was extremely knowledgeable about all areas of baby massage, often going the extra mile to explain new and current research in the area. The approach and songs used to teach massage helped make massage fun and relaxing, which in turn has ensured we continue to use massage techniques at home.”
“Having just completed the baby massage course I just wanted to say thank you. Seb and I have had a lovely experience and enjoyed every minute.
Lesley provides an informal and friendly class where we were made to feel comfortable and confident in carrying out a massage.
I would thoroughly recommend Baby Affinity for all parents.
Looking forward to Baby Yoga in September!”
“Thank you to Lesley for a fabulous 5 weeks of Baby Massage in Blaby. Phoenix and I have loved it and learnt so much along the way. We use the techniques we've practised, on a daily basis at home. In particular the tummy massage has helped Phoenix's constipation and the whole routine helps to soothe him in the evening before bed, when he would sometimes be having a meltdown! Lesley has been a fantastic teacher, enabling us to build our confidence with the massage, as well as being a lovely approachable person who you can discuss general baby issues with too! Working in a small group was nice as you were able to chat to everyone, creating a calm and relaxing morning for all mums and babies!
Thank You again! X”
“Thanks Lesley for making my first experience of a mum and baby class such a positive one as a first time mum it's always scary picking classes but you made us all feel really welcome and relaxed. William absolutely loves his massage now and has it every night as part of his bedtime routine in some form and it's definitely helping him sleep better.”
